Ahead of the crucial floor test in Bihar, an informal meeting convened by the Janata Dal United (JDU) in Patna witnessed notable absenteeism, sparking speculations and intensifying political maneuvers. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's brief 15-minute presence at the gathering added fuel to the discussions swirling within political circles.

The meeting, organized as part of a strategy to consolidate support before the floor test, saw a lukewarm response, with less than 40 out of the 45 JDU MLAs attending the banquet hosted at Bihar government minister Shravan Kumar's residence. Reports indicate that the absence of five MLAs, including prominent names like Dr. Sanjeev and Gunjeshwar Sah, Bima Bharti, Shalini Mishra and Sudarshan Kumar has dealt a blow to JDU's preparations for the impending test of strength.

Meanwhile, amidst the political flurry, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified efforts to shore up support from its MLAs, with a significant number of legislators attending a training camp in Gaya. 23 out of 78 MLAs are not present, MLAs have plans to stay back till Sunday.

Meanwhile, former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav also called a meeting of his MLAs in Patna. RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari has claimed that February 12 will be very exciting. Amidst all this, CPI-ML MLA Mehboob Alam visited former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi at his residence. Manjhi has distanced himself from the media. It is being said that Manjhi can also play big. Congress has already sent its MLAs to Hyderabad.
